Flat Rice Noodles Ingredients:
- 10 oz (300 g) fresh or dried ho fun (flat rice noodles)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 Carrot, Julian
- 1 cup chopped mushrooms (optional)
- 1/2 pound (225 grams) protein of your choice (sliced chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Test for salt and pepper
- Green onion, chopped, for garnish (optional)

- If using dried hofun Flat Rice Noodles, follow package instructions to soak them in hot water until soft. If using fresh hofun, wash them in lukewarm water to separate them.
- Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the chopped onions and cook for 1-2 minutes until they start to soften.
- Push the garlic and onion to the side of the pan and add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add your protein of choice to the skillet and cook until it’s almost done.
- Add chopped bell peppers, broccoli florets, carrots, and mushrooms (if using) to the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp and the protein is fully cooked.
- Add the drained ho fun noodles to the skillet with the soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir well to combine noodles and vegetables and coat evenly with sauce.
